It depends on what kind of crasher it is. Most clog up your GPU so much that it stalls the game to death that's no big deal mostly and you can be back in game in moments. I had the luck of running into one that maxed out my RAM hard locking the entire PC needing a reboot. And others simply cause enough lag to kill the server.
