Rick, it sounds like your hydraulics are working normal, when in the draft position the hydraulics operate differantly, they are controled by the movement of the draft spring that is attatched from the hydraulic rocker to below your seat.First adjustment is in Draft control and you adjust the turnbuckle. The IT manual says for current model to set the control valve to 0.030 measured from the end of the bushing. I could barely get it to 0.2 which is listed for early models and then I'm not sure how many threads are actually engaged in the plunger.Where the cable hooks to the rock shaft there are is an about 1/4" diameter stainless shaft that the cable pushes about 3 inches into a stainless tube.
